REBEKAH CHADWICK junior ASSOCIATE – LEAD CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST
Rebekah is registered with the UK Health and Care Professions Council HCPC) regulatory body as well as the Malta Psychology Professions Board (MPPB). After completing a four-year undergraduate degree in Psychology, which included a placement working under the supervision of Clinical Psychologists in a state-funded forensic hospital, Rebekah gained further experience working in university research posts and specialist Cognitive Behavioural Therapy outpatient and residential therapeutic services in the UK National Health Service (NHS). She completed UK Clinical Psychology doctoral level training, which enables her to draw on a range of evidence-based psychological approaches and techniques. Her doctoral research project explored mothers’ experiences of obsessive-compulsive symptomatology during and shortly after pregnancy, reflecting her particular interest in mental health during the pre- and post-natal periods. Her most recent posts in adult community mental health services and a specialist Heart and Chest hospital demonstrate her capability to work in different settings with people experiencing a range of difficulties. She is passionate about supporting people to live their best life, whatever life stage they are at, and whatever challenges they may be experiencing. As well as helping people to develop greater understanding of themselves and their situations, she is committed to supporting them to make changes that matter to them, with the aim of improving their overall wellbeing. She believes in the benefit of diverse services for clients and values working alongside a team of dedicated professionals as the ones she has found at Polaris.
