JADE ATTARD SENIOR ASSOCIATE - PHYSIOTHERAPIST WITH SPECIALISATION IN SPORTS
With the aim of becoming a physiotherapist having been inspired by her volleyball coach at the age of 13 years, Jade obtained a degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Malta in 2010. After 4 years of working and gaining experience in various fields of physiotherapy, she then opted to pursue her studies further at University College London (UCL). She obtained a Masters in Sports Medicine, Exercise and Health, with a thesis titled ‘Hamstring Activation Patterns during cutting tasks in Elite Athletes’; subsequently, she was nominated for the Dean’s Research Prize Award at UCL.Sports physiotherapy is Jades’ passion. She is currently the head physiotherapist of the Malta National Women’s Football team and the U19’s Women’s team. Jade has also worked with a local football club following their qualification in the Champions League and the Malta Handball Association for the Partille Cup and the Emerging Nations Cup.Working with athletes and getting involved in the team dynamics is what keeps her motivated and eager to learn more in her field. Jade is an ambitious, organised individual who strives to learn new information through reading, conferences and courses, thereby continuously widening her knowledge in order to help her clients further. At Polaris, Jade also has an active role in a number of Athletic Peak Performance Programs; aimed at supporting athletes of all ages and various sports, to reach the top of their game.
