Estelle graduated with a First Class B.Sc. (Hons) Communication Therapy degree from the University of Malta in 2012. She furthered her studies with the University of Sheffield by reading an M.Sc. Language and Communication Impairment degree, graduating with Distinction in November 2018. Her postgraduate dissertation focused on a movement-based approach to word learning in toddlers. Having achieved a Certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies with the Royal Academy of Dance in 2014, she is confident in amalgamating her more artistic side with her evidence-based speech and language interventions, thus maintaining the child’s attention and focus in a fun environment. Estelle has experience working with individuals across the lifespan with challenges related to speech and language development, communication, voice and swallowing. The majority of her experience is based on community service in health centres and district clinics across Malta. More recently she has channeled her energy into assessing and supporting individuals who use Augmentative and Alternative Communication. She supports adults with learning disability during dance classes with a local NGO. She also has experience working with individuals with diverse cultural backgrounds. She embarks on voluntary work experiences in an Integrated Rehabilitation Centre in Kenya and is currently a trusted member of the Polaris Consultancy Team, where she is practicing her passion and expertise on a private basis.
