Amanda Andersen practices bodywork therapy as a certified bodyworker based in Malta. She offers a natural and holistic approach to the mind and body and believes in the interconnection between the two, hence her passion for interdisciplinary teamwork for the benefit of clients. The treatments are based upon the understanding that each part of the body is interconnected with another, and that our body mirrors our wellbeing physically, as well as emotionally. In addition to her body work training, Amanda has a bachelor’s degree in social work and practiced social work in several areas with people of all ages. Along the years, she has gained a broad knowledge in mental health, psychiatric settings and with socially vulnerable populations.
The combination of studying body therapy and social work, combined with her work “in the field”, has made her realise how everything we experience is stored in our bodies and can be the root cause behind physical pain and tension. Her aim here at Polaris, is to help clients reconnect to their body and get a deeper understanding of how the body and mind are linked together.
